FBISE

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) is a Pakistani federal government educational body.

FBISE regulates academic activities of intermediate and secondary level institutions in the country and conducts examinations for schools as well as for private candidates.

The board is responsible for the promotion and development of secondary and higher secondary level education in the country. FBISE also provides academic and administrative assistance to affiliated institutions.

FBISE was established under the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Ordinance, 1979. The board is an autonomous body that works under the Ministry of Education, Government of Pakistan.

The board has its headquarters in Islamabad and regional offices in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta.

FBISE conducts examinations for secondary school certificate (SSC) and higher secondary school certificate (HSC) levels. The board also offers equivalence certificates to students who have studied abroad.

The board has a number of affiliated institutions, both public and private, across Pakistan.

FBISE conducts examinations twice a year, in the months of April and October. The board also declares results within two to three months of the completion of examinations.
